The proximity of vineyards to forest areas has proven to be a natural barrier to reduce the threat of large fires in inhabited areas. But what is the risk assumed by the owners of these vineyards? Is fire damage to your crops a shared responsibility? Agriculture and, specifically, viticulture is a support tool in the extinguishing phase of a fire that the security forces appreciate and, in many cases, allows to attack the fire with more comfort and more guarantees of success. Images of the fires show different scenarios where crops have helped slow, stop or attack the fire. These are our fire vines.
