PARTICIPATE IN THE EUROPEAN SURVEY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FIRE PREVENTION STRATEGIES

This survey is part of FIRE RES project, coordinated by CTFC.
In this project we are exploring and developping fire prevention strategies, including primary sector. We need to know more about wine agroforest landscape management, so we would be very gratefull if you could take 10min to answer. It is anonymous.
This survey is open to any size of wine makers, wine growers, wineries and even oenologists from Spain, France, Portugal and Italy.

The Project

Fire Wine is an initiative that is part of the European project Fire-Res of innovative technologies and socio-ecological-economic solutions for fire resilient territories in Europe, the promotion of resilient landscapes and the prevention of forest fires. The objective of Fire Wine is to provide forest estates located in wine-growing territories with tools and models that stimulate the creation of landscapes prepared to prevent and, failing that, to recover and reduce the losses caused by fires

The idea was born in Catalonia with the intention of spreading to the rest of the European territory and envisages the development of a brand and a label to distinguish the wineries involved in the improvement of forest management models. The network is made up of wineries from Catalonia, Spain, France, Portugal and Italy

The network is made up of wineries of:

  • CATALONIA (D.O. Empordà, D.O.Q. Priorat, D.O. Montsant, D.O. Pla de Bages, D.O. Penedès, Corpinnat)

  • GALICIA

  • CANARY ISLANDS

  • FRANCE

  • ITALY

  • PORTUGAL

The Network

The Fire Wine network wants to share successful experiences that improve quality standards and produce models that respect the landscape, biodiversity and the resilience of the environment. These models often prove to be the best option in the fight to curb the consequences of climate change
